Humiliatus Oneself 'N Publicum............................. (H.O.M.P.)

No, it doesn't sound pretty does it? Well, the reality is...it isn't pretty! Humiliatus Oneself 'N Publicum (also known as HOMP) is an almost un-heard of disease that has stuck in the Lynch family. It's sad..it's painful and well, it's just plain embarassing! We have known for some time that there was just something different about Steve, but just wasn't sure what it was......But now, after his last humiliating public display, it is obvious he has a full blown case of HOMP. It's the only answer....otherwise why would a full grown adult male choose to do the following.....

1.) Dress himself in rare mid 60's motorcycle garb, complete with a leather jacket that spells the words "DURANGO" on the back.
2.) Adorn himself with colored Mardi-Gras beads.
3.) Pack strange and disqusting (yes, the loaf of bread was reported to contain large quantities of mold) items on the motorcycle to take with him.
4.) Ride "in public" a Honda 50 motorcycle out to meet several "friends" who were gathering to take a "Harley" ride for the weekend. This caused an almost instantaneous riot of laughter!! Did that bother Steve??? Nope, as a matter of fact he was reported to have almost "enjoyed" it....now isn't that peculiar behavior?


I would also like to just say a couple of words on behalf of Steve's family. Cindy in paticular was observed to have been such a good sport......she managed to convince Steve that maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea if she was strapped on the back of the motorcycle for this ride...instead she stood by his side and laughed along with everyone else...Good job Cindy, it's important to not call too much attention to the disease. And for Steve's children....they are such troopers, Aaron even helped his Dad get the bike ready.....and Pat, what a caring son, supplied the leather vest. It's so encouraging to see a family that can bond together at a time of crisis.

So, we all continue to humor and care for our brother and family member Steve, and know there will be more times in the future when this rare and unusual disease rears its head...but we stay united and will make it through.
