Another Christmas becomes a memory....

As the record books go, Christmas 2006 will be remembered as a classic! I don't believe there was one thing I would of changed.
Christmas Eve was spent at the farm with almost all of the Lynch's accounted for. Although there was no actual snowfall, the morning fog and frost show was pretty spectacular. Marsha and her family had the farm all decked out in full spender...it was so cozy and reminiscent of the Christmas's a long time ago. I truly hope Dad was looking down and enjoying the scene of all his kids gathered again for some good food, good conversation and alot of silliness.
Now, as for little Ellie..she's quite a little girl. Monday morning we all gathered at Grandmas house and had Christmas. I can't believe how quickly she took to the tearing of paper and finding of the treasures inside. Boy, by next year she will be a pro....there wont be any stopping her...hang on!!!
Well, its kind of late, and Im pooed out from all the excitement, tomorrow its back to the grind. So, until next time.....Love MOM

Ellie has just opened her first Christmas present of her life....a learning puppy from Grandma....what a special moment!!!

I know just how my father must of felt......

Yep, it wasn't until just the other day when I finally determined my bathroom to be "done" that it dawned on me how my father must of felt on Easter, approximately 1960 or so. That was the day that after totally remodeling the bathroom, he lined up all of us kids and took a beautiful family portrait standing in the "bathroom". Apparently, it was a very proud moment, and I now know just how he felt. Unfortunately, I had no luck at convincing my kids to come home and stand in the bathroom for their portrait....I guess times do change.
Boyd arrived from Hawaii on Wednesday, just in time for the first day of 5 degree weather. He said it was about 85 when he boarded the plane in Honolulu...now, that's a culture shock! We always enjoy having him around, and hope he has a great deer hunting expedition!
Well, its time to direct my attention to the holidays now...I spent about 3 hours in Iowa City today, not really Christmas shopping, but running some errands and I have decided I really dont want to do any shopping...gee I bet I get away with that..ha!
Sorry this is going to be short but sweet, but I have decided to do a nice little Christmas letter this year, and promised myself I would do it today....so I had better get at it.
